2008 Governor's Sterling Award Recipients
The Tax Collector's office
adopted the Sterling/Baldrige business model in 2004 to incorporate private
sector business practices in our public sector organization. In just three
years we have created a culture where our strategic-planning and decision-making
processes are team-based and driven by the use of performance data. As a
result, our organization is exceeding expectations and achieving favorable
outcomes in the areas of financial performance, customer satisfaction and
